Last tuesday we finished the last chapter in our DX @ Barrysworld - history. A long history that is, much longer that most of the other clans has, and we like that At the last moment we warped into the special bigfoot tribute cup, replacing one of those very solid teams *cough* who didn't show up. iggy placed us into the gold league, in between the div1/div2 clans. A bit doubtfull as one sees clans like PZZ and DA sitting in the silver cup, but we didn't care, we justed wanted to be part of it and show bigfoot our respect. First we had to face the polarbears and against all odds we won quite comfortable. So we survived 1 round in the winnerbracket of the gold cup, a succes allready. Then, offcourse, it was inevitable, once again, elaw...we humiliated them by scoring a cap in their map, that'll teach them, they should have recruited more div1-players I guess. Into the loser bracket we went, against tc, they showed us why we didnt belong in the goldcup and send us home. But not without us taking the lead for 5 mins in CTF2!! After wcp14 our most hated map. So we end BW like we began, something like 3/4 years ago: losing, having pain, suffering BUT owning!! When exactly we entered the league i'm not sure, but I *think* it was season 4, both TDM and CTF. (our warpage is a bit unclear about the beginning, those lousy warreport-makers those days ) Since then we were always present, every season, first TDM + CTF (yes yes TDM, I know, but we were still young and naive those days), later only CTF (for obvious reasons) Too bad we missed the first seasons (don't blame me, I was LAN-only those days without broadband). Maybe we would have been one of the few (if not the only) teams being there from beginning till the end ?? (and i mean without shitty 'revives' *cough IQS NEO*) *update* there is at least one clan I found who was there all the time, every season, and also started as a QW-clan a loooong time ago, yes they are even 1 month older then we are: the Dark Preachers, respect to them! We even played them not so long ago. We won our division twice, div4c TDM season 4, and finally last but not least, div3c CTF season 12. We got promoted a few times, relegated a few more times. In the end offcourse, nothing than good memories. So thanks Barrysworld, biffy, and all the admins, for all the great leagues you brought, we will miss our traditional sunday-evening-compo, thats for sure.
