The thing about DX! is that, when they are firing on all cylinders with a full strength side, then they are a decent team who can cause any Division 3 clan problems. This season they simply haven't been able to put their best 5 out with any regularity but we caught a glimpse of what they are capable of, all be it against an FH side who had a defender struggling with his connect. Both maps in this contest were tight affairs, W3 being 0-0 for a long time before mako setup potemkin to give FH the lead, DX! getting back into it with Fragty equalising and then a good effort gave his team a lead that they defended well for the remaining couple of minutes, FH a little short in the attacking department on this map. With vinnit still struggling with his connect FH probably deserved the luck they got for the opening cap on CTF2, Potemkin to Vinnit to Potemkin the sequence as as RectuMan just couldn't return. Fragty scored a nice cap to get DX! on level terms but FH had the better of things on midfield so made more of their chances, Potemkin and dest both scoring on caps where the enemy FCer had got out of the base but couldn't get home and get safe without taking damage. DX! couldn't respond to either of those caps so FH got the win that ultimately sends them up to Division 2." "Both DX! and bdi saw their promotion hopes disappear on Sunday night, DX! having spent most of the season in the bottom few places but, had they beaten FH on both maps, and done the same to bdi, then they would have ended the night just a point behind FH in the table going into Week 7. Instead DX! had to settle for a draw with FH and a draw against bdi, both decent results mind you and it could have been better against bdi because DX! took the lead on W7 through RectuMan only to see bdi take the points thanks to a double from fishman, the first of which was a very nice cap indeed. Whilst W7 was a tight map between these two CP22 saw things explode with DX! nailing bdi in the first 10 minutes, RectuMan and eendjuh doing the damage with RectuMan scoring the first and then setting up the third for eendjuh who had already scored the second for DX!. As if this wasn't enough DX! went 4-0 up at the mid-way point thanks to RectuMan again, he setting up Fragty, whilst bdi pulled one back through hellfire only for RectuMan to make it 5-1. Although fearless did get another for bdi Fragty went on a quad-regen attack and managed to get back home with the flag, pretty much every DX! player having a great performance on this map with bdi blown away, although I'm guessing if they had bumface and YNOTKILL they might have done a better job on midfield / flag retrieval." "The only issue not to be settled in this group is the title, ^X^ requiring just a point against DX! to win this whilst they can still claim it should they lose both maps if FH fail to collect the maximum from their clash with n2s. With ^X^ unbeaten on the maps and DX! having failed to win I'll go for ^X^ to claim all 4 points, whilst I can see FH dropping points against n2s even though n2s have nothing to play for other than trying to finish in the top-half. Having said that if n2s can claim 3rd spot it will be their joint-best finish since they won Div3A in Season 4 (February 2001), having last finished as high as 3rd in Season 10 (February 2003) when they were in Div3C. DP have a similar sort of record and it was Season 10 when they also finished 3rd in this group, something they have a shot at achieving this time out with their game against a2Q a match they should win, unless of a2Q stage some sort of miracle recovery." "The game that sees King set to bow out of competition is their match against bdi. The thing here is that if King fail to show then this group could become awfully messy as, should they be kicked out, then points will come the way of n2s (+1) and DX (+4). In that case n2s could claim 2nd place and promotion if they were to take both maps against FH, whilst DX could do the same if they take both maps against ^X^, 3 points not likely to be enough given other results. I sincerely hope that King do turn up but, even if they do, I expect bdi to claim a victory over them and be pushing for a top-half finish." Dus, we maken zelfs nog kans op promotie. Maar zover zal het wel niet komen...

we MAAKTEN een kans op promotie, moesten we zondag 8/8 gehaald hebben.
