"With xp finally having ended their horror start to the season they could yet be a top-half finisher but to do this they will probably need to get points against DP and DX!. This week those two sides met and whilst DX! had entered the week unbeaten and looking strong they were brought down to earth with a bump on CP9. On a very even map DP took the lead through detwisj, though really DX! should have scored just before this and would end up paying the price for not doing so. Fragty got a scrappy equaliser for DX! and the map then settled down, Menno doing well for DP on defence with Shogun the same for DX!, neither attack forcing too many good chances though Fragty looked dangerous for DX! and detwisj was always a threat for DP. In the end the map was settled on a cross-steal, Dev returning for detwisj to score, though I don't think either side would have complained had the map ended at 1-1.

There was not a great deal in CTF2 either but DX! should have taken the lead early on as they should have on CP9, Fragty denied despite getting the DP flag back to the DX! cathedral area. This proved critical to deciding the way the map went as a cross-steal that ensued ended up lasting for ages with neither side having that little bit extra motivation to go after the score. With detwisj carrying the flag for DP and Fragty for DX! both sides had their best player in possession and it looked like they would remain holding until the buzzer. The maps was dramatically decided in the final seconds when 2slow and Eendjuh combined to return the flag for an under-pressure Fragty to score after something like 16 minutes of holding the flag, remarkable concentration shown by him and a good effort by DX!, detwisj gutted to lose out though I think DX! did deserve to share the points on the night.
"

In de vorige post werd er gespeculeerd over de match tegen bdi. Laat er geen twijfel over bestaand: we ownden ze :)

"Monday evening saw the delayed DX! v bdi contest but I think bdi might have regretted not postponing until the following Sunday as they looked out of sorts playing on this unusual night. DX! started superbly with a nice Fragty cap and, at times, were reminiscent of the old DX! side that regularly competed for promotion at this level. To be fair to bdi they were unlucky not to keep the game at 1-0 for longer on CP1, BaRoN really hard done by not to return with Eendjuh scoring to make it 2-0, and despite putting a lot of pressure on DX! they just couldn't get the better of 2slow, Shogun and their helpers as they somehow kept them out. With bdi committing men forward DX! hit them on the break and a quick burst saw the map settled, Fragty, Eendjuh and FraGGeL all eventually getting a brace as bdi sank to a heavy defeat that wasn't really justified.

At the same time bdi have not been the strongest clan defensively over the past couple of seasons and they really do need to sort that out if they are to avoid the drop. Again on CP5 they paid the price for not being tight enough at the back, Shogun's first cap for DX! a good effort but his second could have been avoided. Fishman scored a nice cap for bdi to make the map competitive and the teams then settled down into a slugfest with neither side able to advance the score. This all changed in the final stages of the map, bdi and DX! both having chances but a lack of back-up for BaRoN cost bdi as DX! were able to score two caps that could have been prevented, Homer having a great little spell with both scores to his name. DX! did have Fragty and FraGGeL to thank for this win with their solid defending but they were eventually broken for a second time, pagan with a good cap, but for bdi it was too little too late as they continue to search for a line-up that can stop the opposing team from scoring freely.
