Introduction :

This war wasn't really supposed to be happened. I knew that we should actually be in div3 and I thought that we would be favourites for promotion in div4 but this was actually not really a game at all. I feel very sorry for our opponents because this was their first league game and they are such nice guys... yeah they really are... never whined one second or something. I hope they don't care if they win or not and just move on with the league game by game, at one time (long time ago though...) I played worse than them so you really have to be patient with new clans and players and support them. Their second game against us they allready improved, they made some nice frags against me.

We started very nervous talking about tactics and who would be coaching us and stuff, trying out keybinds and asking the admin to put pmove on They were only with 3 players and after 20 minuts the admin forced the game to start. After 5 minuts it became clear that this wasn\'t actually a game at all, one of them timed out and I left the game to become a spectator. When he joined again we played 3vs3. After another 5 mins their 4th player joined finally and I entered the game again. I didn't really play though (they had a score of minus 2 against more than 100 for -DX-...), I was just walking around with the gauntlet don't watching armor or quad or something and giving em enough frags to make the score positive , still I made 18 humiliations and had a netto score of +7, more damage given than received (2slow4u had 100% efficiency and gets the title of most valuable player as reward)

We couldn't give them too much though, because frag difference is important on Barrysworld (RD lost the div3 title on frag dif last season). This game they made more frags, and it was not because I walked around with the gauntlet, no, sometimes it were really nice frags, with rocket, grenade or shotgun. Actually we made 250 spawnfrags but they couldn't do much about that, a spawnfrag is just bad luck, so with some good luck Qox should've won with 14 against 13. And hey, they improved their score with 100% !! That's impressive ! If they can keep up with this I'm sure they wil win some games in this division, allthough it will be difficult. GG Qox ! I hope you just move on with the league, you are such nice guys, don't take this defeat too hard, it can really only get better, we have all been playing worse when we started playing Quake...

A more than fair reflection on the game and thanks for the kind words. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back for more punishment next week. I feel one of our main failings was the lack of any tactics whatsoever. Whilst this wouldnt have in anyway changed the outcome we could have added to our tally a little. We didn\'t group attack the key areas (Red Armour in Q3DM7) and 2slo4u was pretty lethal with the Railgun. In the second match we aslo failed to acquire the Rocket Launcher enough. On a brighter note we can only improve and hopefully there will be no repeat of 500+ frags against us. Perhaps playing us first could be an advantage that others wont have (well not quite as much anyway!) Once again thanks for the lesson and hopefully next time we meet on the battle field it will be a little closer.

As tactics to start with, I would suggest QoX to learn to control the red armor. Soon after that, you will learn to time the red armor (25sec) and later even the quad damage (2min). Aiming comes with each battle, you might try to practise Instagib, your aiming will improve rapidly. But most of all: a rabbit is so pathetic :)

Thanks DX for a great game, really had fun :) I think one of the worst things about last night was that we built ourselves up for the game thinking we might do very well (when we play on our server we do!) only to be shown the real way to play Q3, Cheers DX!:) Anyway like you said things can only get better and the next time we meet we\'ll show you how good we can really be!! Thanks again really good fun......

a spawnfrag is when we kill you immediately after that you spawn (spawning = getting back to life)

Just came across this today :) Ah what memories, suffice to say that after that first season we did improve and have now reached the heady heights of division 1 with consecutive promotions every season after that initial one. Admittedly the clan personnel has changed somewhat, but im still around.
